About Anje

Anje Vela is a versatile artist who fearlessly explores a range of mediums to create her art, including photography, expressive paintings, drawings, collages, and innovative digital compositions. Each piece evolves with the chapters of her life, reflecting her artistic journey and creative spirit.

With over 20 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, Anje’s career has been diverse and dynamic. She began her professional journey managing accounts receivables and payables for All About Travel from 1988 to 1993. Transitioning into the music industry in Baltimore, MD, she later moved to Nashville, TN, collaborating with various record labels. In 1999, Anje relocated to San Francisco, CA, where she initially worked in architecture and assisted the Principal at one of the top architecture firms, before joining a leading advertising agency. Here, she contributed to brand advertisements for prominent companies.

Throughout her career, Anje has maintained a strong connection with photography and the arts. She played a pivotal role in founding Vela Entertainment, organizing live music and art events while supporting a diverse range of artists. Anje has curated exhibitions in San Francisco, showcasing works by renowned artists, and personally exhibited her own art in Berkeley, CA. Her artistic achievements have extended internationally, with exhibitions in cities such as New York (2011, 2022, 2023, 2024) and Lisbon, Portugal (June 2024). Her photography, curated by Keith Grossman during his tenure as President of TIME Magazine, was prominently featured in Liverpool in 2022, further solidifying her international artistic presence. Her photography has been seen in Times Square, NYC (April 2022) and Lisbon, Portugal (June 2024).

Currently, Anje dedicates her expertise to her family’s travel agency, where she has been fully immersed since 2010. Raised in the travel industry, her passion for exploration has taken her across over 15 countries and nearly every U.S. state. Anje finds fulfillment in assisting clients one-on-one, curating memorable vacations that reflect her deep-seated appreciation for travel, culture, and artistic expression.
